The chinese can build just as good a quality as america, especially weapons. Harbor Freight is built to a certian spec, a very low one made for cheap resale. Thats what most Americans want now, cheap. However look at Norinco ak's and the NDM 91's. Very good quality, on par with the russian weapons on which they are based.
China is not our friend, never was. While I dont think they will ever try to take Taiwan by force, I can see them continuing to be a thorn in our side for my lifetime.
Quantity not quality . What is the size of There Army size and ours .... Engaged on 2 fronts???And I would Imagine there army has standard on equipment ..Not the **** they send us!
That's where you are definately wrong!! B1 Bombers, Stealth fighters, cruise missles, and more. I'd also imagine they'd lump themselves together. Then you could be right. One bomb would get a great quantity of them.
You're absolutely correct.
Most Norincos function reliably...
.
Wrong. The bitter Russian winter beat the Germans; their troops and equipment weren't prepared to deal with the sub-zero temperatures.
If Operation Barbarossa had been launched six weeks earlier, as originally intended, the Germans would have surely taken Stalingrad, waited out the winter, and re-establised their offensive in the spring.
Or perhaps not; the other major German problem was steady re-supply. The Luftwaffe could not keep von Paulus re-supplied as well as Goering had promised.
But the Russians were on the ropes; von Paulus' inability to take Stalingrad was the rallying point that galvanized the Soviets.
According to the histories I have read, Kursk was the only major set-piece battle where the Russians soundly bested the Wermacht... and that was mainly due to the German armor breaking down in the extreme cold.

If I were into M1As I'd opt for LRB of NY. But I agree with what you're saying. The Norc 1911 had the best steel we've seen in recent years. If I was building a custom piece, I'd rather the norc slide/frame than a kimber.
Call up Fulton Armory and tell them you want a custom built M1A on a Norc receiver... they will tell you its the best steel/geometry of anything other than the one they sell under their name.
If I were a general, I'd rather 50 million troops with Norc 1911s and M14s than 250,000 of America's best men with America's best equipment. There comes a point where even the best tactics don't matter - the fact that they have hundreds of times more bodies will eventually win the day.
That said, as long as we have guns, politicians are the biggest threat to our mainland.
I must disagree on the quality of their weapons. Although Norinco
makes a descent 1911 copy, a Kimber it is not.
With the exception of a few late designs, Chinese conventional weapons have largely been copies of Soviet technology. Some others they stole from us. We all know where most of their missile technology came from.
I do not believe that weapon for weapon they produce the same quality as what our troops field- but they do work very well. Norinco (China North Industries) itself is owned by the PLA.
What is it going to take to get Americans to wake the hell up? They've threatened the US twice with nukes - one in 1997 and the other in 1998/9. The threats were veiled but one general stated that he "knew" we cared more about San Francisco than we did about Taiwan. And I agree. I do.
The GWOT is a war of containment against both Russia and China. There are oil & natural gas reserves and proposed oil & natural gas pipelines that we wish to control to CONTROL the growth of the nations who are determined & WILL obtain the oil: Japan, India and China. That' right, we're dying for oil consumption for Japan, India and China... Great, aint it?
I strongly encourage all to download and STUDY Zbigniew Brzezinski's THE GRAND CHESSBOARD - assuming anyone actually gives a damn. There is an article online titled "A War in the Planning for Four Years" that I highly recommend everyone familiarize themselves with.
I have a translated article from a Chinese general that anyone is interested in I'll e-mail it to as well.
Notice the initial disclaimer.Seriously? Hal Turner? Why yes, Pat, I would like to buy a credible source.
