At the very least- lock your f-ing doors, folks.....

But also another lesson for ALL OF US about leaving weapons in vehicles....:eek3:

Yep, you should lock your doors..... especially if you have weapons in the vehicle.

I try to avoid it, but sometimes you have to leave a weapon in the vehicle.

Gotta love the description of the suspect LOL!

"A witness saw a black man, wearing a black shirt and black shorts with red shoes and socks, enter the officer’s vehicle through the driver’s door."

What is it with Lafayette area law enforcement not locking their vehicles?

It is not just there. I have heard of several stories over the years here with LEO guns being stolen from unlocked cars. We had one local LEO who forgot to shut hist trunk before pursuing a traffic violater. It was very kind of the person who returned the cased AR15 that fell from the trunk the following morning.

I like how they call it a ".223 caliber rifle." If it were a citizen's firearm it'd be an "AR-47 automatic assault weapon"

Why would the pistol and rifle be left in the front of the unit? Normally FBI has the rifle in the trunk which is chained and padlocked shut. There is a lot missing from that story. Are they now allowed to use the car for private use now?

Wow that guy stole the eggs right out of the hen-house. Hopefully the sec. cameras recorded it. Either way its a mess. That agent is probably in a bit of hot water.

Why is the FBI not working the case if their guns were stolen? How does all that stuff work anyway?

The article does not make the cops seem real smart.

Yeah the question is was that a personal AR or issued M-16? I bet that will be hell if either is used in a crime.........
