**SOLD** FOR SALE: 1911 .45/.38 Super Combo

Hi gang, I wasn't planning on selling this piece, but I'm
scraping together funds for another purchase so here it is:

This gun started life as a Taurus 1911 in .38 Super. I shot roughly
150-200 rounds through it and had an idea, turn it into a .45!

So recently, I purchased a Remington Rand slide with 2 piece guide rod
from Charliepapa and mated it to my Taurus frame. I wasn't expecting
the incredible results that this combination would yield.

This gun will wear a ragged single hole in the target all day in either caliber.

I will upload further pics of it as soon as I replace the batteries in my camera,
but here it is in its current, .45 form.

It comes with the original box, all the original paperwork, original grips, Colt
grips, both slides, both barrels, both full length guide rods, 2 .38 super
magazines, and 1 Wilson .45 magazine.

The .45 slide has Millett target sights and the Super .38 has Novaks.

All it takes to swap between calibers is to reinstall the Series 80 firing pin
safety pieces in the frame (included) or you could remove the plunger from
the slide and not have to worry about frame disassembly.

This gun is absolutely reliable in either caliber and I have had no FTFs or
FTE's of any kind. Feeds JHP in .45 flawlessly.

Price is $525 FTF in Baton Rouge Area. I'm not interested in trades at this

In case somebody is interested in splitting this deal I would be interested in the .45 ACP upper assembly since I need to finish a Colt lower and you could keep the complete gun in .38Super, that is if the seller agrees to that as well, thanks.

OR I could maybe do a .38Super Colt 1911 with my lower , either way im interested.
