Just Purchased my first hand gun!!

I got a Springfield XDm 40 and my girlfriend got the XDm 9mm. Im excited to try it out and hit the range with it. I have heard nothing but good things about the XDm. Totally differant frame/slide, "match grade barrel", "match grade trigger", you dont have to pull the trigger to field strip it like you do the xd. Thats all I can think of right now on the top of my head.

Congrats on the purchase. Unfortunately, I think you made a slight logistical mistake by buying the .40 AND the 9. I would have recommended getting both in the same caliber so as to be able to swap mags and ammo. That's my unrequested opinion, take it for what it's worth.

Great choice. I am now up to four XD's and I think another may be necessary to fill the XD fun factor more completely. I need a "m".

We will post up some pics after we go shooting on tues. We just went and got a bunch of ammo for the range. I can alredy tell this is going to be very addicting. Just one more thing for me to spend money on but its worth it.
