Up here we call 'em swamps, just no gators or cottonmouths inhabiting them. A few rattler's, but mostly deer, elk, coyote's, bobcat.
I'm quite familiar with your parts, Fort Polk is a place I've spent a life time trying to forget. How do you stand the heat?
Of course when it hits -30-40 degrees, the Bayou's don't sound so bad.
Yup, I am human, a Liberal hating, gun toting, northern redneck. So maybe we do have something in common.
