    KENNER, La. – Police are investigating the shooting death of a man at a gas station on Williams Boulevard, according to Kenner Police spokesman Det. Brian McGregor.

    The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to police.

    “Responding officers located the victim, Jose Caballero, 47, of Kenner, in the parking lot of the Shell Station, located at 2436 Williams Boulevard. Caballero who was found to have a gunshot wound was transported to University Hospital, in New Orleans where his death was pronounced,” said McGregor.

    Police do not have a motive.

    I am thinking, by the sound of this, that he was the victim, any word as conformation that he was not the aggressor?

    I was right down the street at corner pocket. We were going to stop there and get a drink on the way home. We saw all the police cars and fire truck. Everything was roped off all the way to the street.
