I have been worried about my recoil spring. My 1911 has about 6000 rounds through it. Do you know how often you need to change them? I don't get any jams but the slide seems to sometimes not go all the way flush with the frame when looking at it from the back.

You are past its life if you are not going back into battery. Everyone has different opinions on this I cahnge out mine about every 3000 rds.

thats the million dollar question. they come from the factory with a 16#. are you shooting full power defense loads, reloads?
