For Sale or Trade is this early 80's vintage Seattle built Detonics
Combat Master .45 ACP.
All Stainless
6+1 Capacity
2 Stainless Factory Mags
Factory Pachmayr Wrap around Grips
Later Model Detonics USA Wood Grips
For those of you that don't know, these are the guns that started the "compact 1911" craze, in 1976.
All the compact Kimbers and STI's of today owe their lineage to these hand built guns.
In 1983, when a NEW Colt was $350, these were $600. Subsequently, the company went bust in late 1987,
only to be resurrected several times since then.
This is also the model that Don Johnson carried in an ankle holster on the Miami Vice TV series.
Only about 29,000 of these were made, and the stainless serial #'s started @ 10,000.
This one is #18XXX so its just about prime production time.
Those of you who know these guns know that the Seattle originals are said to be the best.
Own a little bit of history. Put it in a safe, or shoot the hell out of it!
Price is $800 FTF in Baton Rouge AREA Only. TRADES ARE WELCOME.
PM me for further details or more pics.
Thanks for looking!
