Up for sale is a good used Ruger Security Six in .357 Magnum. It has a four inch barrel, adjustable rear sight and Pachmayr grips.

Looking to sell, but I might be interested in:

    A six inch .357 Magnum.

    A good adjustable scope 3-9x40ish.

Did these come standard with the Pachmayr grips? I got a blued one from my grandfather a while back with the same grips.

I'm not sure. I don't think they did, but they were/are popular for the gun. I think most came with wood grips that exposed the front and back straps.

Free bump for a GREAT magnum...and the answer to the question is no. These were shipped from Ruger with wood grips that did expose front and backstraps. They were checkered and had a diamond on them as well IIRC.

Back in the Jurrasic, when revolvers ruled the world, it was VERY common to almost immediately replace wood grips with Pachmeyers. If LEO's were the owners it was almost standard to do so, as the Pach's hold up MUCH better getting in and out of a car exposed than do wood.

Hence the cost today of original LNIB wood grips for Smiths and Rugers and Colts. If I knew then the grips I was throwing away would be reselling in a couple of decades for $100 and up, I'd be fully retired now. :)

NICE BLASTER to the top. Excellent price too imo.
