I've been looking for a decent gun grease but not dedicated to just guns like wheel bearing grease or something of that sort.

IMO, it's best to use different lubricants & solvents for the intended application. If I'm going to store something, I tend to use more of a protective lubricant, than say something that is better for lubricating parts, but not the best corrosion resistant.

A guy I used to work with always used plain old Vaseline to protect his guns in storage . I saw some of his old Browning rifles and shotguns and they were pristine .

Pretty interesting, may have to pick up a can of wd-40 specialist. I know some people that hate the idea of wd-40 on a gun, lol. Doesn't bother me any. I've started using shell motor oil for a while now and seems to stay on a lot longer than rem oil and others of the like.

That is an awesome study. Thanks for sharing. Further proof of how good frog lube is.

There are probably More Reports of people having issues with Froglube than any other gun care product and it is a fairly new product.

That's why I said the results are surprising. I do not recommend frog lube to anyone, ever.

Honestly, I don't recommend paste lubricant on any firearm. At least not on parts that involve hot gases.

Frog lube also offered a spray, it's not just a paste. I use eezox for long storage, and clp for lube. And for cleaning carbon, nothing beats fire clean

The Frog Lube spray is actually a cleaner, it's not the actual lube. There is a liquid form, along with the paste.
Let me know if you want to buy some, I have all three and do not plan to use it ever again....sweet deal for youz...

Tried the frog lube spray and paste. I figured the paste would get hot, and coat an, ak74. Didn't work for me. Seemed to be a dirt trap, and got real gritty.

I'm strictly Mobil one synthetic now.

Thanks for posing. Just bought a Froglube kit, spray and paste, on Amazon for $30. Spent some time reading the instructions on their web site. It's a micro lubricant that soaks into the metal. Soaks in quicker if the metal is warm. Wipe down thoroughly after applying. Some folks are swearing by it saying it results in much less fouling. I am a big fan of micro lubricants and will give it a shot.
