    It's what the bullet goes into immediately after leaving the cylinder.

    I have a 2.5" 60-9 that I really like but it's a bear shooting magnum rounds.

    LOL I know what they are I also know that the model 19's and their stainless steel counterparts have had issues usually at the 6' O'clock involving cracking I love these model S&W's and this is a great price for a user and I really would like a pic of the forcing cone.

    The 66's were less prone to cracking due to the better heat dissapation of the stainless vs carbon steel, so I hear.......I also hear it takes a SERIOUS amount of light bullet shooting to cause potential damage.....

    I agree its not impossible, however it is fairly rare, especially in the 66 series, These days not to many folks can afford to put enough full house magnum loads down one to hurt it. Unless Uncle Sam is paying for the ammo.


    Hell people will break a anvil with a hammer if given enough time.
