I have a photo that someone took using a white sheet background and point and shoot camera. The flash was not bright enough for the shoot leaving a grayish background.

The background needs to be cleared up and white for use on a local magazine cover.

Are you up to the challenge? It would need to be done today. Please, if you are not an expert, then do not bother trying. This photo is not going to work well with the color replace tool.

If it has got to be today, a larger mall will have a photo place. Something for the holiday photos. I don't know what they are called in the Lakeside Mall outside of New Orleans, but they are pretty elite when it comes to photoshop. They change the color of backgrounds, remove wrinkles from people's faces, take away ugly color from teeth. I'd imagine such a place exists at any large shopping center.

They charge a pretty penny for their own photographs, but if you are getting desperate, its at least an option you can try.

Alas, I would be useless. I'm pretty good at MS paint, but my hand shakes a little and who knows if your portrait would end up with a white streak across the face...
