The G19 compensated models are few and far between. You may want to look for a NIB G19C.

This I know, just throwing it out there before I bought new.

Have you owned and fired the C models in a close quarters or extreme retention position? If not you May want to try one before buying. You will get hot gas and debris in your face when shooting at contact distances. You will have people telling you otherwise or how to turn the pistol to avoid this. If you are already aware of the possibilities disregard my post. Happy Shooting.

Then what is the point of them being compensated? I'm interested in one also, but I've never handled one. Are there other downsides to the c models?

I was the owner of a 23C for many years. It was going to be a range toy. :D
