New Toy- M&P9 Pro

I decided to trade in my Glock 21 for an M&P9 Pro last week. Got the G21 sold over the weekend, and on Wednesday, I picked up a NIB M&P9 Pro from gmshooter. Haven't gotten to shoot it yet- going Sunday afternoon, but it'll make a great big brother to my 9c

I honestly don't know how to tell. Its everything I hoped it would be, so far. The trigger is super nice for factory, but it needs a little breaking in. What should I look for?

I think its older. The newer pro's have a 5in barrel and dont have the gold writing on the side. I assume this is a 9mm pro correct?

Yeah it has a 4.25" barrel. What even did they update besides length?

as far as I know that was it. Im pretty sure the trigger was the same. Maybe someone with more knowledge could step in.
