Looking to sell my Marlin 336 .30-30 lever action rifle w/Telstar 4x32 scope. According to the serial number, it was manufactured in 1979. Round count is unknown. My dad bought it from my uncle for me about 9-10 years ago, and since that time, it has had less than 25 rounds down the tube. I'm looking to sell it now in order to pick up a carry piece. Asking $475 OBO, FTF in Baton Rouge area. PM me with any offers and I'll get back with you ASAP. Will also come with about half a box of ammo(~10 rounds).

EDIT 1: Also, open to trades for Glock 23 gen 3 or Baby Eagle semi-compact .40S&W.

EDIT 2: Also have 4 full boxes of ammo for sale. I'm selling these for my dad. Have 2 boxes of Winchester 150 grn and 2 boxes of Remington 150 grn. He would like to get $15 per box, but PM me with offers.

More pics of the buttstock and of the ammo. Sorry, one box is actually 170 grn. The lone box is the half box(looked at it just a minute ago, it actually has 10 rounds) that will go with the gun. The leather sling also comes with the gun.

EDIT: if you feel I'm overpricing, let me know. I've been struggling to find out what these things sell for outside of new from dealers. If you know of a website to find current market values on this gun, shoot me a link, and if necessary, I will adjust the price accordingly. I need to move this quickly so I can pick up a carry piece in the near future. If need be, I can always take it to Cabelas gun library to find out what its worth. Hopefully that won't be necessary, but I can if I have to.

I would suggest keeping it a while. Remington now owns Marlin and they are having QC issues now. So the value on this rifle may go up as Marlin fans are not happy about the change in ownership. I would make an offer but I allready have 2 just like it

Ahh. I knew about the change in ownership, but didn't realize that Remington was screwing up the builds. As noted in the OP, I'm selling it to purchase a CCW, and I don't EVER hunt. I've been once in my life(with this gun) and didn't even pull the trigger while there. Only time I've fired it was back in 2008, behind my parents house.

Well, again, I can't pick up a carry piece as long as this is sitting around my house or I'll end up sleeping on the couch for a while. A carry firearm will do me more good now than this will. Do I see $375 OBO? If I have to, I'll sell my Model 60 to add some funds to my budget.
