    your not gonna like them, most are digital trunked and range is very limited unless you have a repeater.. If you have a line on a few, and they are part of the narrow banding project then get them if they are cheap, hams like them but as a comon person using them, they suck without a repeater.

    In my experience, the new 800's can't send or receive from inside buildings as well the previous generation of radios. Hospitals, government blg's etc.
