I have for sale an original Ruger MK I 22LR. It has the pencil barrel. Comes with 3 mags (1-10 round and 2-9 round). Only problem I know of is the extractor spring is weak. It will not function 100% with it as is. I have used another bolt from another MK I and it ran fine. The extractor and spring can be had from Numrich gun parts. Just never got around to replacing it as I don't shoot it at all any more, hence the reason I am selling. Price is $150 FTF in Gonzales/Prairieville.

Why do these simple projects come along when you're broke!!

The elegance of the older Ruger Mark pistols is they are so simple (tightly fitted, but simple). If I had any extra coin, I'd buy this at least the parts. I would imagine that it can probably be repaired with $25-30 worth of parts and, this could be a quick project.

So, less than $200 for a nice plinker ain't shabby. It also looks, cosmetically, like it has not been abused much at all.

Not trying to hijack your thread, good luck with the sale.

I have one of these and it is a nice shooter. The part could also be found at Brownells I bet. The extractor and spring might even be the same as a 10/22 but dont quote me on that. This is the first pistol I ever bought (was 15 yrs old and Mom did the paper work).

I have a MK II now with adjustable sites and shoot it all the time.
