Not in a hurry, but am interested in finding one of the following carbines at a reasonable price: M38, M91-59 or M44. Doesn't have to be pretty, but needs to have a clean, non-pitted bore and undamaged muzzle. Preferably without a counterbore.

Thanks everyone. Looks like I'll be getting a M44 from frogger2662. But would love to locate a M91/59 too.

As for Cabela's M91/30's, that's a terrific deal. I saw a few M91/30's at the Kenner show yesterday and they ranged from $125.00 to $160.00, depending upon who was selling them. I bought one from a friend about three weeks ago for the princely sum of $50.00. Last week I took it out for the first time and fired an offhand 3" center-to-center 5 shot group at 50 yards with 182 gr cartridges. You just can't have more fun for the money.
