I've heard bad things about centerfire. But, I've bought guns and other stuff from both centerfire and classicarms and never had a problem with either.
I try to weigh the fact that people usually post when there is a problem and not when the service is good. Thanks for the info. I do like the poly stock on the one from Classic. There are a few cheaper with scopes for less on GB.
If you can, find one that was imported as an entire rifle built in Romania. And finding one with some extra mags is a big plus, because they are getting harder to find and/or more expensive.
They're cool rifles, I still miss mine every time I open the safe.
The good thing is the ammo is cheap considering the round. The VEPR seems to be the latest that shoots the 54r and from what I've read are good quality like original Russian AK's
I've thought about a VEPR but the furniture bugs me and it's hard to replace it due to the notched rear of the reciever and they are EVEN HARDER to find mags for...
Truly the barrels are superior on the VEPR.
I bought my RPK from Classic. The safety/selector is a little out of whack but everything else was ok. After I cleaned the cosmolene out and oiled it up and tung oiled the furniture it looks and shoots great.
800 seems pretty high to me for a PSL. I remember when they went up to 499... Guess they are a little more rare these days...
