Reciprocity: LA & AR

Last week, the Arkansas State Police and the Louisiana State Police reached a reciprocity agreement, which provides that each state will recognize the other's "Right-To-Carry" permits. Permit holders must still comply with the laws that apply in whichever state they are traveling.

I have been checking on this periodically. I hadn't checked in a couple weeks. Thanks for saving me some time.

Just thought I would mention that this map is a little more representative of our actual status:

It shows who honors our permit, rather than just who we have reciprocity with (not the same thing).

For example, I have family in MN, and it matters that they recognize our permits. What's weird is that MN only recognizes FOUR other State's permits, and LA is one of them. Not sure why, since we are not even mandated to do NICS checks as a part of the approval process, which means that not even the ATF recognizes our permits as valid (for the purposes of exempting us form the 4473 NICS check for a transfer).
