At academy two hours ago. M855 12.99 with a 4 box limit. Shelf has at least 250 boxes. If we stop buying at these extreme prices they will come down. But let’s never underestimate the enemy...they see it too and will call up another crisis to get the fear rolling again. Hope not but...

Enough is never enough. Shoot often / regular basis and like to keep a stockpile seems normal to me
Absolutely correct, you can never have too much ammo, unless you're treading water. Most of my friends haven't been able to shoot nearly as much as I have this past year. And I haven't had to pay Covid/Biden/BLM/antifa riot prices either.

Could not have said it better myself! Sometimes people just want to hear themselves talk so they can feel better about themselves. Feel free to pay .45/rd and think you're getting a deal. Good night!

Glad I sold a **** ton when the prices were peaked! More than tripled my money! Nothing easier than dealing with panic buyers.....I even told them that prices would probably come down but nobody knows when...

And the 1st person that says I gouged, nope, I didn't pressure anybody to buy and at the time of sale it it as not a "necessity".

Yep. I picked up 9mm steel case for 13.99 a box. Ammo Makers are only focusing on popular stuff right now, 9mm, 40 cal, 45 acp,44 mag, 357, 308, 30-06, 223, and a few others. Sucks for people like me who shoot a lot of odd European rounds. Ammo is gone and so are reloading components.

    It's not gouging . It's capitalism . :)

Price Gouging is an act or instance of charging customers too high a price for goods or services, especially when demand is high and supplies are limited:

Doing things like gouging are why so many people have turned away from Capitalisms. Out of control Capitalism always pushes a society to socialism or communism. We can see it in our country today.

"Many people are beginning to take the view that it is futile to try to stop communism unless we decide to quit helping it first. Lenin once said he would sell us the rope to hang ourselves because we would hope to make a profit on the transaction."

Oh geeez, here we go. Were they going to die if they didn't have any 9mm ammo? No. It was a panic buy on their end, there were other sources but they were charging the same amount. It's not like I was charging $5 for a 12oz beer because you can't buy it anywhere else.

So what is your definition of too high? Purely a subjective argument.

My magic # is .30. I'll start buying again once it hit that number!
I hope we hit that price in the next 5 or 6 years or I might have to tap into my reserves..

Man, for a bunch of guys in the same boat, I sure do see a lot of throat cutting here. I guess butt hurt brings out the worst in folks.
