The Kershaw Talon was not designed as an assisted open/waved knife. In fact, they never actually offered the right combination in a single SKU. However, when you put the bottle opener blade on the G-10 handle, magic happened.

Kershaw made three variations of the Talon. Titanium handle with thumbstud, titanium handle with the bottle opener & G-10 handle with thumbstud.

A Kershaw Talon reconfigured as a waved opening folder became known as a 'Southern Comfort' many years ago. Here's a link to the original Southern Comfort article. This article comes from Don Rearic's website. The main article was written by a good friend of mine who posts under the SouthNarc moniker.

This page also offers a pretty concise discourse on what has become known as the Reverse Edge Method of knife use.
