    Nate,

The CARBINE I interests me. I have limited exposure to the AR-I was an AIRWINGER when I was in the Corps and we used M14s. Can you suggest a sling and an optic for the class? I will need to run this past my CO, read WIFE, but I would like to see if I could make it. I enjoyed GF I Sunday.

John, obviously not Nate. But for a sling I would suggest a Viking Tactics sling.

Optics - I think the class will be dominated by red dot optics, Aimpoints or Eotechs. If you look at Eo-techs look at the newer XPS models.

Sport Optics in Hammond has a huge selection, and they let you try everything out. Give them a call and tell them we sent you.

Good to see you at the GF1 class on Sunday as well. Hope you can make it to Carbine.

Look into the viking tactics sling, whether it be padded or not, and eotech optics. The benefits of those pieces of equipment will be explained at the class im sure ;).

Big +1 to Sport Optics. Best price out there and local, or free shipping. I ordered an Eotech and it was on my doorstep 12 hours later.

As for slings the important thing IMO is a quality quick adjust 2-point. I have the VTAC, Vickers and Emdom Gunslinger. They are all good. I personally prefer the Emdom.

+ 1 on optics store in Hammond, they're awesome. I suggest going in though so you can play with everything.

I actually think, shooting people with paint balls if they make a safety error will make them learn in short order.

Curt make a note on that and look up the potential liability concerns. :hi5:

N/m, by the end of the day I will have whelps all over me.

I can't make it to this one due to other commitments that weekend but I posted it to the LOCAL Facebook wall so others may see it and get this valuable training.
It's great that so many BSers here want to attend multiple classes every year but the vast majority of people carrying guns havn't gone further than a basic CHP class. This would be a great chance for those people to up their game some. Especially true of those of us you open carry. We strongly advocate retention and defensive training. This class would certianly fit that description.
If you have seen the LOCAL Facebook page you will see us announcing other classes such as Bearco's upcoming Combat Focus Shooting Class as well as other courses. We will continue to encourage everyone to seek out further training and to carry in a safe and responsible manner.

**** VG told me he's gonna glue a tack to my trigger guard. Then if i pricked myself i could end up dying from a staff infection. I was gonna be a smart ass and tell him my medical director was a pathologist/ID and I'm in HBO but that thought passed very quickly.
