Been awhile since I have posted anything here, and somewhat feel bad lurking around. Anyone else here into armor, tanks, or cannons? Or does anyone here need help or advice in getting armor, tanks, and cannons. If so I am happy to help anyway I can.

Pickles. ....Whutcha gonna do wit dat, bruh?
Well I bought this Centurion AVRE in England but its got a L9 165mm demo gun. Cant really get ammo and the gun is getting demilled for it or anything so I am going to trade the D10 out of the Soviet tank for an L7 105mm and put it in the tank. Got a friend of mine in Australia with the manlet and recoil system I need.

I guess perks of knowing all the big tank and cannons guys in the US is we can just trade guns lol.

I took a few Russian tanks off the battlefield, and gifted one to the UK. I am happy you are keeping these alive, how cool is that! My uncle maintained some armor for some time. Mostly WWII era German armored vehicles but also some old US APCs.

It's really funny how the stuff just goes back and forth between the same group of dudes most times

Nice dude! That's so cool and a really interesting hobby!
Its actually turned into a business at this point somehow. I got this M47 Patton in last week to disassemble and fully restore. Also have a East German BMP1 that I bought and need to go through.

I just don't know what to say about this. Living in/on armor for a few years, courtesy of Uncle Sam, makes me wonder why anyone would take it up as a hobby! At least my M1 had all the comforts of home, a lot of flat space to sleep on and 1500 degree microwave oven out the back end. :dogkeke:

Difference of tanks and trucks between a 71k load and a 115k.

Small and very specialized club of people, and it was the next rational thing to do after owning and getting bored with hundreds of machine guns.

“Goes through about 20 gallons of gas in an hour.”

So not to totally invite myself but if I showed up (definitely announced ahead of time) one day in February with say 100 gallons of diesel how would the rest of the day go down?

Also, how would one go about buying a (small say 1 1/2”-2) cannon or mortar. Just a brief scan online has you wading through replicas and golf ball shooters.
