Well, as it turns out, I’m going to be needing a new set of tires for my 2014 FX4. I do mostly highway driving with an occasional trip in the dirt to the lease or camp.

Think I have it narrowed down to Nitto Ridge grappler or Cooper AT3.

Any experience with either of these tires?

    Btw, I was “Firestone’d”…

Best tires I have ever run on my truck is BF Goodrich KO2 load range E. 10 ply with 3 ply side wall. I have them on a 1500 (load range E is made for 2500) run them at 55 PSI. I currently have 77,000+ miles and they still have a lot of tread. I put them on my sons truck and I'm about to put them on my JK wrangler.

Photo on left is new on son's truck. Photo on right with quarter is my trucks lowest tire with 77,000 mile on them. Start mileage was 60,000 currently at 137,000. You have to run them at higher PSI or they feel kinda mushy at 32psi. 94% of my driving is highway. 6% are rig roads or trails

Good grip on and off the road, gravel, sand is ok. Not great in swampy sticky mud. Kinda quiet but not the most quiet. Just a beast of a tire.

    I have a 2014 F-150 4 door/6.5' bed/4x4/5.0/2.5" lift.
I had a set of Toyo AT-2s (over 50K miles far from worn out but Replaced due to age) and now on a set of Toyo AT-3s with right at about 45K miles. I'm not a hard core off-roader but they do everything I need them for very well, wear evenly and last many miles.
Next set will be AT-3s, very happy with them.

I have a 12 FX4 and I'm really happy with the Cooper's, had them on for a couple years now and I tow pretty heavy. I wanted K02's but didn't want to go to 10ply for mileage.

I have K02's on my work truck a 2wd Silverado, they are a little noisy but happy with them

So I ended up deciding on the Cooper version. They recently released a new version called the Stronghold. It only been about 2 weeks and 600 miles but I’m pleased so far. I would admit that they are slightly louder than the Firestone but I will say they already have had better wet traction. We’ll see how they perform over time but I’m not disappointed.
