Automatic Knives

Who makes a good auto knife that doesn't cost a fortune? I've seen some Smith and Wesson's, the Extreme Ops model, any opinions?

I wish Kershaw made an auto but I dont see one, wish I could justify shelling out for a Benchmade but thats a bit (ok, alot) out of my range for a knife. Dont really need an auto, but hell, I can carry it so why not.

edit: just saw a price... was looking at the SOCOM then almost choked. I'd be scared to carry a $500 knife... thats more than I paid for either of my glocks.

CRKT is good. I have a couple of their knives.

Also, I wouldn't hesitate to order from knifecenter. I ordered my CRKT blades from there and didn't have any issues.

Yea!! I own one and love it, i wouldn't hesitate to buy another even tho it is expensive. IMO it is well worth. I think it puts the benchmade infidel to shame. You can find a good benchmade auto for between 125 & 200, it just isnt out the front.

I wouldnt wanna carry a $500 knife on duty, I could buy another glock for that and have a backup backup gun.

you can find them cheaper! check the local gun shows, there is a guy who sales them and his prices arnt bad. to each his own.

I compare my knives kinda like i compare my guns. I dont think you want to carry a highpoint gun. thats just me tho

my problem has always been keeping my knives sharp. i have yet to figure out how to put a good edge on and keep it.
