Anyone have any feedback on this range? Its on the westbank of Jefferson Parish off Barataria (sp?). Apparently they are open again and operating both an indoor and outdoor range. I may go check em out this weekend, but wanted to know if anyone is a regular member of this club.

    They are open Wed-Saturday..

Its a decent range 50 yards with about 15 lanes.. Also has a private room where you can shoot knock downs and they have a few bowling pins back there to..

Ventilation leaves a little to be desired but overall not bad...

It's on the westbank? Isn't that the same place where they play paintball?

sounds like a good one... I wish I was closer to it. For now it looks like I'm stuck to the EBR Parish Range... 2 miles away.

I just joined there this year after hearing about it for a few years. Some of what I heard was misinformation.

$20 is correct & is high in my opinion. Members are $10 bucks. For that you get to shoot all day. 2 people on a lane. But if you are 1 guy & don't need to shoot all day it may be prohibitive. Sharing the lane is the way to go.
    I've been 3 on a lane for the same price. (2 adults, 1 kid & 800 rounds)

The ventilation is not the best & cheap ammo makes the problem worse. I've been when it was a non-issue. One time I thought I would have needed medical attention if I went another 15 minutes. In all fairness the biggest factor was the cheap ammo out of a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 that I shot near the end of a 2 hour session.

Sometimes it is fairly clean & other times a lot of targets, trash etc. I pick up after myself, apparently some slobs shoot there

The targets swing a lot in spots, which is worsened by the ventilation being turned up. I need to solve the swinging problem.

Lighting is not the best, but that is a real world condition.

You can shoot rifles, pistols & shotguns (Not skeet)

I put up with the downsides because:
It is 15-20 minutes from me.
I can shoot any rifle I own there on a weeknight.
So it is convenient for me. (Almost no planning required)
    Wed-Friday 12-8
    Sat & Sun 8-5.
    50 Yards indoor
The range can be hard to spot, especially at night. First timers need to account for that.

    It serves a purpose.
I'd rather be at an outdoor range on the weekend.

No its not perfect, but I'm thankful I have the membership. My goal is to take advantage of it.

    Later,

I've shot there twice. It's pretty expensive, considering they require you to purchase targets from them. I can't bring myself to spend that much on a single sheet of paper, $1.50 IIRC. I could make do with loose leaf paper and a sharpie marker rather than buy targets at that price.

Still, it's a place to shoot, and there aren't many around.
