Hey Guys I just moved to Baton Rouge and I am looking for a gunsmith to bed a Winchester model 70 action and float the barrel. I have called around, but have not found anyone willing to do it. Do yall have any recommendations?

Eduardo is going to be your best bet! Hands down!
My dad has prolly sent 2 of Eduardo Chahin’s kids to college by now, lol. He’s a fine gunsmith for certain. Gonna cost you though.
I will say that anyone with decent crafting skills can manage floating a barrel and action. I’m sure their are vids on YouTube that’ll walk you right through it. I’ve done several of my own rifles over the years. I do some glass bedding and also make my own blocks from aluminum. Some are as easy as the correct steel washer. Last one I did was a Ruger M77 in .270. Anyway, just an option.
