Anyone happen to have a Benchmade Claymore Auto? Or thoughts on them?

I carry a Benchmade Bugout mostly, but have been toying with carrying an auto, because why not?

I picked one up a while back. Nice knife. Very snappy. Much lighter than the Presidio auto I carry. As a lefty, though, I prefer the ambi axis release. Are you back in BR? I can let you play with it. {That's what she said)

I would argue that depends on what your planned usage is. I have cut down small trees and otherwise greatly abused my Presidio. That'd be tough with any of my microtechs. They wouldn't survive.

Its been my EDC ever since they went on sale. Lightweight. Once its in your pocket, you can hardly feel it. The auto open snaps open with authority, almost to the point that if you do not have a good grip on the knife, it will fly out of your hand. The finish on the blade is holding up well, but the plastic body scratches fairly easily.

How do y'all like it compared to something like the Bugout?

Have you had any problems with the auto opening in your pocket?

I actually looked at a Bugout before I bought my Claymore. The Claymore was just a bit bigger than the Bugout and the auto open feature is great.

The Claymore has a safety for the auto open, so as long as that it set, you will not have any issues with it opening in your pocket accidentally.
