Really? I had no idea. Mother and Paw in law have a camp in the Oaks. They said this was the 1st they've heard of one.

There's a bear crossing sign or two between Saint Francisville and Port Gibson on Highway 61.

Bears are a commun thing in that area, in fact my ex brother in law lives in Pierre Part and they have some hunting land around Belle River next to the wild life area and they had a big issue after the hurricane a bear ended up on the island and was eating all the corn took a while to get the DUCKER out.

Yep....As the population grows, so will stories like this, I'm afraid.

I know there's a healthy population in Lower Concordia Parish- one took out one of my timer feeders this past weekend....
