Many of us enjoy the range. However, it's pre-Gustof repairs left unfinished and Gustof damaged has left it partially closed and in very poor condition(see post below). I'm afraid it will be a long time before repairs are made. If you enjoy using it, I would suggest each of us email the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and request they repair the shooting facilities ASAP. Their email contact address is:

In addition, the Commission is meeting in Baton Rouge on November 6. If we could somehow organize a petition requesting they make the range improvements perhaps it could be presented to them at the meeting. Is there someway this sight could help organize a petition? I'm open to suggestions.
