Canik makes some extremely reliable nice shooting pistols. They’re sort of a CZ copy and have always been low priced but I don’t consider them budget guns on any other level. I currently own 3. They’re one of those “best bang for the buck” guns.

All of the ones I've had were reliable and accurate with great triggers. You just have to factor it only comes with one magazine.

I traded a guy for one of the subcompact ones and it shot really close to the feel of my Glock 26. Little more snappy, but I would have kept it as a backup to a backup, but I just couldn’t find extra mags.

Ah, the old Academy uno magazino magic trick. I didn’t catch that. Mine all came with 3 mags new. One even came with a holster. The mags are plentiful but on par with CZ prices.
Anybody know what Academy does with all those damned mags?

The one series comes with one magazine only. The rest come with either 2 or 3.

These guns are really good for the price. If you want a red dot I recommend going with an optic ready model. Also the cerakote on some models looks nice. I do not think these cheaper ones are cerakoted.
