Does anyone think another country or a domestic company will start producing 7.62x54r steel case ammo once all the Russian stock dries up? I have been tempted at getting a few rifles in this caliber but concerned I will end up with another curio and relic that is hard to get cheap ammo for like 303 British is now.

Someone will absolutely make it but the price point is what’s to be determined imo.

Palmetto State Armory was talking about buying equipment from Russia to start producing steel case ammo here in the states. I haven’t heard anything since they originally mentioned it several months back.

That will awefully hard now. Doing any business with Russia is pretty much illegal now.

Czech and Serbian surplus is still around and I thought S&B was still cranking it out. Otherwise, there is still a lot of Russian stockpiles in countries we are friendly with. People assume that if it’s Russian it’s outlawed here. That’s not the case at all.
