This is a belt of 25 fired 20mm rounds from a MK 15 Phalynx Close-In Weapons System (CIWS) also known as a Sea-Whiz. These were shot off of DDG-61 The Ramage. I'll take $100 for them. Or I'm open to offers. They're kinda hard to come bye because they're supposed to be kicked overboard. Something about the depleted uranium rounds or something. I dunno. They made it into my seabag and came home. They look pretty cool hanging on the wall in my gun room. The strand is about 36" long and each shell is about 3 to 4 inches tall. Each shell is stamped 20mm M103 ACN, along with some other specs.

You don't have a Geiger counter do you?

Depleted Uranium dust apparently causes birth defects.

    Just FYI

    Otherwise, awesome item.

    yeah among other stuff...

this is just hearsay, I don't have medical books stating it in front of me.

I probably shouldn't have said anything anyway.

I'm willing to bet my gonads that it's nothing as harmful as, lets say, a dentist x-ray or so.

Not like you'll be keeping them in your pocket, either.

edit: some reading says the uranium rounds were switched to tungsten in 1988. No telling which he has, i'm guessing.

I tried taking way more than 100 rounds home with me. Friggin' security at the airport wouldn't let me do it. Stoopid fuckers didn't understand that it was spent rounds.
