    DWX 1st range day (16).jpg

Early morning on the range... two of my shooting buddies with me.
200 rounds of Armscor 115 fmj with two fail to feed malfunctions in one 5 round string while one of my friends was behind the trigger. He has arthritis and is known to limp wrist, so that was likely the issue. 198 rounds not a single hickup.

The DWXc was a bit snappier to shoot than I anticipated, but I am used to shooting my own 140gr cast bullets loaded lightly in my Shadow 2 or a full size 1911. The 4 pound trigger has smooth pre-travel to a well defined wall, crisp break, very little over travel, and a short reset that is tactile and audible.

The big green dot front sight is acceptable for self defense purposes, but I like a smaller more defined front sight for range fun. But she performed well.

10 shots at 21' and firing about as quick as I could regain the front sight. Not magdump fast, but faster than most indoor R O's would be happy with.

Out to 50 yards, I was hitting a torso size plate 80%.

Overall, I like it for sure, but I need to run a few hundred more rounds down range and report back.
