    RANT ON!

One of my neighbors has a 10-12 week old lab pup.

They have no fence, so the pup is free to roam.
The good thing is it doesn't go far and spends most of its time aggravating my dogs through the fence or hanging out withme while I am woodworking outside or in my shop.

Well, they went out of town this weekend and left pup out on his own.

There was a bunch of spilled food and a bucket of water left for the pup.

The water was very dirty from the pup sticking its dirty muzzle in it.

The punchline is I ended up feeding and watering the dog.

IF YOU CAN'T TAKE CARE OF A DOG, THEN DON'T GET ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    There...I feel better.

    RANT OFF!

This kind of behavior drives me nuts! Granted, I'll admit we don't have a fence but our inside dog is supervised outside as a result. By the time we built the house, she was old and not interested in running anymore. (We'll have to change that when we adopt a puppy)

Personally, I have no qualms with finding the little guy a new home next time they're out of town. Probably the only time I advocate technical theft.

We purchased an RV because Mutt stops eating while she's kenneled. It really is a dog house. I can't understand people who toss out a dog in the yard and expect it to be happy. If he's free to roam, he's going to end up hit by a car. :(

You need to move to a better area of town.

I need some woodwork help on some grips. Help a neighbor out.

I wish I could do that kind of intricate work!

I just built the bow for our new Mardi Gras float and it's 8 feet tall.

Now if you need 8 ft. tall grips, maybe I can help you out.

I've found two homes for the pup if/when it happens again.

What's up with that sh*t?!?! LOL. Our float workday and beginning overhaul is later this month. Why can't we do this in January or April? It's HOT!

Says the person responsible that put it on the calendar....

Because this is a brand new float.

The pup has been a big help with it too.......Trying to crawl on top of and gnaw on me while I was working under it!

Rofl. So what's his name? "go away" or "dammit dog"

I still think this float business is better during cooler months. I've never worked on a float when it wasn't in mid Summer.
