After the last forum software upgrade, It looks like some of the ads that people post are uneditable and also can not be deleted. How should this be handled if something needs deletion or editing?

Can you provide an example of an uneditable ad? In general, we mark ads as no longer for sale/trade but there's no real need to delete an ad unless it doesn't meet the requirements of the site.

I tried to edit the WTS heading on my ad to SOLD and couldn't. Probably my lack of knowledge.

Do you have any options at the bottom of the post?

Yes. I can edit the add itself. It's the WTS: heading I want to change to sold. Instead I edited the ad narrative with SOLD

There is no arrow next to WTS. Only the narrative can be edited. Nothing in the title can be changed.

It's not a big deal but I would like for forum members to see it's sold without wasting time opening the post.

Just let us know and we’ll change it for you.
I know that doesn’t solve the problem in the larger picture but if it’s a transient issue this may be the best solution.
Just report the thread and request for it to be marked as sold.
I do it for folks regularly who don’t or can’t do it themselves.

Do you have any other ads? If so, can you change any of the prefixes on the other ones?

And if you can edit the ad, you can add SOLD to the top of the ad in big letters.

I can not edit the title of my ad on the browser nor the app. I just added sold in the main body of the ad itself.

I don't have any other items that have sold. I opened one of my other ads to edit it. I could not edit the WTS or the title. Could be a weak mouse squeak or a broken usb wheel bearing. Maybe my pixels have been pixxed.

There is a limit to hold long you can edit a post after posting. It's mostly there to prohibit spammers/scammers from using old accounts to edit old posts and do funky SEO stuff.

If you ever need an old ad edited, deleted, or whatever, please use the report button and our awesome staff would be happy to help! :)
