the quality is really nice. definately was expecting less quality for the price. not one scratch or blemish anywhere on the reviever.

Spikes is top-notch. You can definitely pay more for a lower, but you won't really get anything better.

Since I asked my FFL buddy to order one of those $69 stripped lowers from AIM this morning!
Now, where are the best prices for "complete" rifle kits?
I've seen the the complete kits offered by Del-Ton and Model 1, any other sites to recommend for a first timer on a serious budget?

i just got my dad one of the spikes lowers, this, and this. great budget build and about as cheap as you can do it 'new'.

however, S&W is selling their 'optics ready' ARs for about the same price ($599 at CDNN) and CMMG has a bargain bin AR (may have minor exterior not function interfering blemishes) for $599.

Not sure whether you bought your AR lower yet, but--
My FFL buddy here in N.O.L.A. ordered a couple extra of the Spikes stripped lowers on Friday morning (stock photos below) and is willing to sell for $90 each to cover his shipping, time and trouble.
