I have two of these up for sale, can be used to connect two houses miles apart. OR receive free internet from an open connection up to 10+ miles away.

$40 each, used but come with new antenna receivers still in box.

You will need a wireless bridge or a wireless card that can use external antennas. Hook up an amp and you can do around 20+ mile shots.

If you are shooting from your backyard into the rest of your neighborhood, not necessarily. You will get about 100 yards. Only if these houses don't have tin roofs, it will deflect the radio waves and cause packet loss. You get line of sight and you can get shots in the miles.

Nice product, you should use one of these at each end (both points). You should use an amp at least at the transmit end (the remote end back towards the home (base) end.

You really only have to use an amp on one end to achieve longer distance shots.
