I’m not of the status to own any full autos so rentals are as close as I can get. Have you ever rented a full auto if so what and where, what was your favorite and what’s on your wish list?

I’ve rented a H&K MP5 and Grease gun from Barney’s in Lafayette with a group from Oregon that were in for a bachelor party. At the Dallas gun range I rented a Thompson Tommy Gun with my brother in law years ago.

Favorite I really couldn’t say but damn they were all fun, probably the grease gun though.

Next I’d love to find a Browning BAR and a Glock 18.

Something to think about…1986 was a good while ago so the transferable good are going to be coming online and that will probably drive the price down for a short window. The economy and availability might spur a buyers market. My son is in the market to step it up.

    Thanks, Kurt, for the mention.

Yes, we rent machine guns at Cut Off Range Complex. Just an hour from Metairie. Here’s a link to what we have and prices (apologies, I am a lawyer, not a web designer) and we are working on several others right now.

It’s cool because it’s outdoors, no tie downs, and we run full mags. We have several guys that work at Jefferson Indoor that come rent machine guns from us because it’s cheaper and we run full mags.

Lots of fun. Our most popular are the AKs and MP5s. My favorite is the 1919 with the MP5s in second place.

I've been fortunate to run a mag thru a true Colt AR lower with a .22lr upper, a LEO let me and my son (8 yrs old) each have a mag, the look on my son's face was awesome, he enjoyed it more than I did. I had a friend who has a Ma Deuce but sadly he passed before I could get a turn on it.

There's a guy in Sibley, LA he owns a full auto range. 50 cal semis to cz scorpion i'm talken about the cooler cz scorpion. Of course ars and aks but yeah. Personally In my career I got to shoot a full auto aug, galil ace, and 74 i think? I can't remember but man that aug on full auto, weird trigger as it maybe. I put all 30 rounds into a quarter, I swear to god that was the tightest hole I've ever made.

It’s been a lot of years, but Precision back in Industriplex in BR use to rent sub guns. I shot a nice fully stocked Uzi back in the 90’s there. Very easy to keep on the X ring. Forget the MAC/Cobray’s/Ingrams, unless you’re willing to glove up and strap in. They’ll take the pleasure right out of it. For my money, M16, G3, AK, Steyr AUG are among the Cadillacs.
Man, the BAR is a beast but the best machine gun I’ve ever fired. That selectable cyclic rate is the shiznit.

Kraut, was that Slidell? They are the only ones I know in this area for sure that had a P90 (although I’m sure many do). We’ve got one on our range and it’s a fun little gun.

I’ve got to get moving on about a half dozen others I have in the works. Some are easier conversions than others. I was gonna call Taylor to get him to help me but he’s laid up for a while. I would love to do a BAR. Ohio Ordanance makes great stuff but they are super proud of it.

I haven't heard or seen anything about LEAD in a while. And I can't find anythin online about it? Is that still a thing? I made it up there once and got to shoot the Thompson M1.

Then there's the obligatory collection shot through the military. M16, M4, M249, M2, M60, and M240. I can't forget the MK19. That's an interesting one to shoot because of the delay of the impact.

Texas Gun Experience in Dallas has ~85 full auto's for rent, including a mounted minigun. Whenever I'm in the area I'll mess with their stuff.
