I was looking at my M1 tonight and discovered my gas plug was loose. I tightened it hand tight for now. Does anyone have any info on how tight I need to make it? Thanks...

Over time, the gas cylinders wear as do the plugs. Carbon wears down the threads when you remove and replace the plug.

You can bugger up the threads slightly, or use blue loctite.

Proper torque is however tight you can get it.

You would be well served to buy the gas plug wrench, and Gas cylinder holding tool to apply the proper amount of torque. Try Bill Ricca or Tony at Orion 7.,
