Maybe I’m mistaken but I thought they had a 17 mos and said they were going to discontinue it because of the G47 for whatever reason. I enjoy my Glocks and as someone who carries a G17 daily I’m glad to see it.

I still have my Gen 3 G17L. It's my favorite Glock, so I'm glad to see it as a Gen 5.

This is a G17L, not a G17.

Among other qualities, the G17L is perfect for teaching new shooters who intend to use steiker-fired handguns. New shooters need to start with large pistols that are easy to shoot and viable for home defense. The G17L is both!

The 17C is also a good starter. Large frame to absorb more of the felt recoil, and compensated to manage the recoil.
