    People vote for judges/sheriffs/DA's without actually researching them. Being popular doesn't mean that you are good at your job. Add a competent defense atty and mildly disinterested juries... Have you guys looked at the actual clearance rate for crime locally?

    Is this typical of the record keeping of the justice system in that area? It is less than 2 years old, so I can't imagine the arrest report got lost already.
