Is it possible to give a LEO a Serial number on a firearm and for them to tell you who it belongs to or is all that they know is if it is lost or stolen? I am interested in an auction on gunbroker and the guy is a new seller with a NR ( No Rating) and I can make out the serial # in some of the pics. He is located in Ohio. The price he is asking is fair, so I don't think that it is a scam. I am just generally weary of auctions with sellers that have no feedback. Paypal is out of the question, but Gunbroker has a $400 money back guarantee. I just sent the seller a PM and I'm expecting a reply. I'd really like to place a bid on this gun, but if I can't get any more info about the seller I probably won't bid. :help:
