    A lot of guys look at firearms like cars. Once you take possession of it and leave the area you purchased it from the price depreciates. Especially if the gun was fired.
    That’s where the fluctuating price comes into play. You also have some people that think many things appreciate in value. Some do and some don’t.

    To me, if I am in the market for a Glock 19 that sells for $550-$600, +tax, and I see one on here for $500 with a holster or 2, and night sights, with a few extra mags, I see that as a fair price.

    You will have some guys crying it’s a $400 gun that’s too high, and some sellers wanting every dollar back the have put into it. They would try to sell it for $850 to $1,000.

    Price and demand will sort it out, the middle of the road is more traveled.

    how much do you think inflation has to do with it? I've noticed a lot of shops in and around lake charles have marked up the cost of firearms over the past year or so. not by hundreds of dollars but definitely noticable. Especially on used guns.
