Atonguis, have you considered Don Geraci in Independence? He's mostly retired now, but he's still doing some work, or at least that's what I heard. Try googling him. He did a couple of 700s for me a while back. He does really good work.
As for the pinning and welding, I decided I was tired of having to choose between waiting to be able to get to a welding rig or getting raked over the coals. Apparently, you don't NEED a mig or tig machine. I bought the $200 flux core wire welder from harbor freight. Pinning and welding ain't hard and requires about as much talent as I have, which ain't much.
