    If I ever visit Alaska, I'll be sure to take the ferry, around Canada.
    Going through Canada with your handguns generally wasn't an option before, unless you want to get an "Authorization to Transport" in advance, and go through a lot of hoop-jumping at the border. And even then, they need to only be "restricted" and not "prohibited" guns.

    British Columbia is a beautiful province that is well worth driving through, but you'd be far better off to just send your guns to an FFL in Alaska that can have them waiting for you when you get there.

    (and no, I don't like this aspect of Canadian law, nor am I defending it.)
