From Shreveport born and raised. Navy veteran. Recently purchased Hellcat Pro OSP with gear up promotion. Currently waiting on 3 extra magazines and range bag. Planning to get holosun 507k green dot and do a M Carbo trigger kit upgrade to reduce trigger to 4.5 pull.

Thanks. Took 35 days to get it due to background check going past 30 days, but the FFL that I went thru was blown away by the wait just as much as I was.

welcome... btw they could have legally turned gun over to you after 3 days if there wasnt a denial/delay given... But depends on the stores policy... Big box stores usually will not transfer unless there is an approved, if it goes the distance of 30 days they will refund your money...

While most checks are instant, the FBI actually has three days to complete the background check before the transfer can be proceed. The investigation can continue well past three days and, in cases in which the firearm was transferred after the three-day window, the case is referred to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) for retrieval of the firearm.

Yeah we discussed that, but he said that he remembered a case where another FFL followed the rules, transfered the firearm and it was used for a shooting and the government took his license even though he followed the rules. So he said that he can but doesn't transfer the firearms until he gets a proceed.
