I think you are misunderstanding. This hearing wasn’t to uphold ATF’s ban on pistol braces; rather, it was to markup a resolution that would nullify the ATF rule.

And based on the quote below from the article, it appears the GOP members were concerned about the Dems trying to capitalize on a tragedy:

This issue we wanted to mark up tomorrow that we’ll mark up here in a couple of weeks as is all about the Constitution,” Jordan said. “You had an agency tell Americans the rule was one thing. Ten years later, they just changed the rule without going through Congress. So, this is a Constitutional concern, but Democrats had already been talking about making everything political, so we just decided to postpone.”

When the head cheese couldn’t answer if a buffer tube could be shouldered that was a clue. They will go after ANY pistol and classify it as an SBR. Wake up. It’s only the beginning.

@ the 3:20 - 3:26 minute mark in post #8 video , he declares quit enthusiastically that it is impossible to fire just one round when using a bump stock.

Stated goal of the ATF - “to reduce violent crime”. LOLOLOL

Does anyone actually believe this BS?

Exactly how many crimes have been committed with braced firearms? AR-15s each year?

If their stated goal was to reduce violent crime, they would be better off banning hammers
