Hey folks, just decided to drop in...
I've been into guns for a while now, mainly growing up with my dad who's a big collector of old military firearms (from 18th century flintlocks to Mausers to M1s and SKSs). I moved to Louisiana a few years back and I haven't had time or money to get into shooting on my own, but now's the time. I've got a Marlin 883SS rifle in .22 magnum, just a target/plinking/varmint gun.
Was wondering if anyone knew any good ranges in the New Orleans area, or if someone's got a plinking setup I could spend some time at (I'd bring my own cans of course). Preferably the latter, I'm not looking forward to spending $15/hr just to shoot. Heck, that's more than I make in an hour! Quick question too, a lot of ranges say they allow .22 rimfire rounds, but does .22WMR count (it is rimfire) or are they exclusively talking about .22LR?
Thanks!
